After a special soft opening hosted by several owners, Melco Resorts Entertainment, on June 12, 2023, Europe's first integrated resort, the City of Dreams Mediterranean (CoDM), officially opened its doors in Cyprus on July 10, 2023. Built over 14.8 acres in the southern island city of Limasol, the resort features a 14-story hotel each costing $5 million (about $60 million) and a private hotel with 500 Saltrotirios suites.
Other facilities include designer shopping trails, celebrity artworks, sports facilities, outdoor amphitheaters, Cyprus' largest resort pool complex, a family adventure park, spa and fitness facilities, and 8,000 sq. m (86,000 sq. ft.) of indoor and outdoor event space. There are also eight restaurants featuring everything from authentic Mediterranean to pan-Asian fusion, as well as bars and entertainment featuring famous DJs from the region and around the world.
The resort's centerpiece, the 7,500 sq m (80,000 sq ft) spacious and modern casino, features a variety of slot machines and table games, serving both casual players and experienced gamblers. It also features a private salon dedicated to VIP invitations and high-end amenities, so be sure to register.
The dress code has been implemented.
C2 - Cyprus Casino, a temporary casino that opened on June 28, 2018, is located in the former Goanides supermarket near the zakki junction. It has a floor area of 49,514 square feet and can serve two modern game consoles, table game consoles, restaurants and bars. The 13,993 square foot gaming zone houses 242 slot machines, 33 table game consoles and VIP game consoles.
The temporary casino will remain open until the opening of the dream city of the Mediterranean, with all employees reportedly moving to the casino resort.
